The Viscardi Center’s Digital Accessibility Services (DAS) has long been a leader in innovation and inclusivity, championing a world where everyone, regardless of ability, can seamlessly access digital resources. This year, our commitment to fostering equitable access was recognized not once, not twice, but three times! Viscardi’s DAS received three prestigious honors—a Helen Keller Services AccessAbility Award, a LISTnet LISA Award, and an induction into the Long Island Imagine Awards Hall of Fame. These accolades highlight our steadfast dedication to cultivating inclusive digital landscapes that empower individuals with disabilities. Together, these awards not only affirm DAS’s leadership in digital accessibility for websites, documents, videos, and more, but also serve as motivation for organizations to elevate digital accessibility across all their initiatives.
The Helen Keller Services AccessAbility Award honors individuals and organizations that embody Helen Keller’s legacy of enhancing accessibility for people with disabilities. This year, we are honored to be recognized alongside other distinguished winners, including United Airlines, Apple, LEGO, Meloway Makeup, Be My Eyes, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Rival. This recognition underscores our commitment to empowering individuals by providing accessible technologies that enable them to navigate the digital world with confidence. Through our expertise in auditing and remediating websites and digital content, DAS continues to work toward a future where accessibility is a standard for all users, regardless of their disability.

The Tech Cares Award, presented at the LISTnet (Long Island Software and Technology Network) LISA Awards, celebrates excellence in technology that drives social change. DAS earned this recognition not only for advancing digital accessibility standards but also for fostering collaboration with organizations to implement solutions that create meaningful impact. This award highlights DAS’s role as a trusted partner, helping companies and institutions integrate inclusivity into their digital strategies and ensuring that accessibility is an integral part of their online presence.
The Long Island Imagine Awards, which spotlight exceptional nonprofits making significant contributions to their communities, inducted us into their Hall of Fame this year. The Hall of Fame was established to honor organizations that consistently excel in leadership, impact, and operations. These organizations continuously operate at the highest level and have been recognized by the Long Island Imagine Awards as a consistent winner or finalist. This prestigious honor symbolizes the lasting impact we’ve had in promoting accessibility across a variety of sectors. It affirms our ongoing mission to make accessibility a cornerstone of modern technology, ensuring that all digital spaces are welcoming and usable for everyone.
As we celebrate this remarkable year of recognition, we remain steadfast in our belief that digital accessibility is not just a responsibility but an opportunity to create meaningful connections. Each award serves as a powerful reminder of the profound impact accessible digital environments have on the lives of individuals with disabilities and the broader community. Together, we can continue to shape a future where digital spaces are inclusive, equitable, and empowering for all.
